My name is Jasmin (also known as Jaslee!), and I’m excited to welcome you to Auslanity —

a passion project born from my love of Auslan and my work as an accredited Auslan trainer. I’m Deaf, and signing has been my language and way of life since I was 3-4 years old.

A Bit About Me

I’ve spent the last seven years training and building my skills to become an accredited Auslan trainer. Teaching Auslan has allowed me to connect with so many wonderful people from different walks of life, and I’m constantly inspired by their dedication to learning and bridging communication gaps.

I also hold a diploma in graphic design—creativity is at the heart of everything I do! Whether I’m working with Auslan learners or running Auslanity, you’ll often find me behind the scenes, busily designing and dreaming up new ideas. My favourite colour is hot pink (you’ll definitely see it in my designs!) because it’s bold, vibrant, and full of life—just like Auslanity.

In addition to designing and teaching, I’ve also written four books that focus on Auslan, Deaf culture, and romantic suspense. Writing gives me another way to tell stories that reflect life in the Deaf community, with a bit of mystery and love thrown in. How Auslanity Was Born

Auslanity was born from the realization that there was a need for more Auslan-related handmade items that reflect our culture, pride, and creativity. I wanted to create a space where people could celebrate Auslan and show their support in unique ways—from stylish, everyday wear to gifts that tell a story.

Every product in Auslanity’s collection—from the “Deaf Proud” and “Deaf Ally” designs to personalized requests—is created with care. My goal is to design items that make people feel proud to be part of the Deaf community or an ally who stands with us.

Auslanity is more than just a brand—it’s a passion-driven project that I hope inspires connection, creativity, and inclusivity. Here’s what I strive for:

• Raise awareness: Help more people—both Deaf individuals and hearing allies—learn about and connect with Auslan.

• Foster inclusivity: Create designs that resonate with both the Deaf community and hearing allies who want to show their support.

• Support creativity: Encourage custom ideas and requests so people feel empowered to express themselves.

• Accessible Teaching Resources: Provide Auslan-inspired resources that are not only fun and meaningful but also accessible for others to use in their own Auslan teaching journey.
